July 3, 2026 Launching Bertlo: an AI notetaker that also translates your meetings live.

Hey IH 👋

Quick intro: I'm Dylan, and I've been building Bertlo

(https://www.bertlo.com/en) — an AI meeting notetaker that also does

real-time translation, so multilingual teams can actually understand each

other in a call, not just get an English-only transcript afterward.

The problem

I used to sit in meetings with partners and clients across different

countries, and every AI meeting notetaker I tried assumed the whole room

spoke one language. That assumption breaks down fast with multilingual

teams — you either bring in a human interpreter, or someone spends the

meeting scribbling half-translated notes and hoping they caught the

important parts.

What Bertlo does

- Records meetings (Chrome extension for Meet/Zoom/Teams/YouTube, or a

standalone quick recorder)

- Transcribes + translates live, side-by-side, one or two-way

- Auto-generates summaries, action items, and decisions after the call

- Lets you chat with your meeting history ("ask what did we decide about

X last week") with citations back to the transcript

- Also translates documents (DOCX/PPTX/PDF/XLSX...) and images, keeping

original formatting

- Speak Mate: a 1:1 mode for face-to-face conversations with someone who

speaks a different language — no meeting platform needed. It translates

live and reads the translation back out loud using ElevenLabs voices, so

the conversation flows instead of everyone reading subtitles. (We're part

of the ElevenLabs startup grant program, which helped make this possible.)

- 60+ languages supported

Where I'm at

We've been live since June 29, and already have our first users on board.

Still early days, but the core loop (record, translate, summarize) is

working well and we're iterating fast based on what people tell us.

Free tier — 15k credits/month, no credit card: [link app.bertlo.com]

I'd love feedback from this community, especially:

- If you run or work on a distributed/international team, does this solve

a real pain point for you?

- Anything confusing or missing in the onboarding?

Happy to answer questions about the product, the tech (Next.js, NestJS,

Cloudflare Workers for realtime, Whisper/ElevenLabs for voice), or the

business model (freemium + credits, Lemon Squeezy for billing).

Thanks for reading — building this in public, so more updates to come.

About

Meeting notes and document translation take up too much time. I am building Bertlo to automate these tedious processes with AI, helping remote teams save hours every week.
