Quick update on where BestPNG is.

BestPNG turns one product photo into a white-background main image, lifestyle scenes and on-model shots. The target customer is a small Etsy / Amazon / Shopify seller who is currently paying $50-500 per product for studio photos, or settling for phone shots.

What the numbers said

51 signups so far, 0 paying. That sounded like a pricing problem, so I went through every activated user's generations one by one. It wasn't pricing. Most of them were making game sprites, stickers and logos with the free tools. They generated 1-5 images and left with 80-98 of their 100 free credits unused. Nobody had even reached the paywall. I'd been optimizing a funnel that the wrong people were walking into.

The two most recent activated users were actual product-photo users (a shoe seller, a clothing brand), which is the only signal I care about now.

What I changed

Instead of buying traffic, I built the thing sellers actually search for: a free checker that tells you whether a product photo meets Amazon, Etsy and Shopify image rules (size, pure-white background, 85% product fill, file limits). It runs entirely in the browser, no upload, no account.

The bet: people searching "amazon product image size" are sellers by definition. If the checker ranks, the right people show up, and the AI photo tool is one click away.

Next

Weekly check on whether the spec queries start getting impressions. Reddit in seller subs, answering questions without linking. No paid ads — I tested Google Ads for a week: $3-4 per click against a $60 LTV doesn't work.
