From now on you can add more than 120 cryptocurrency pairs with USD to your portfolio and track its value in real-time. All you have to do is to open your dashboard and add transactions for your cryptocurrency holdings.

After a first round of feedback gathered from the beta launch here on IndieHackes (thanks to all who have participated), I released Betterfolio to the public.

I spent the last 10 weeks building Betterfolio, working on it mostly nights and weekends.

I coded the whole thing in TypeScript since that's that I'm the most comfortable with. I used React for the frontend, Apollo Server & MongoDB for the backend and deployed everything to my Kubernetes cluster running on GCP. There are a few features that I still want to implement, but I'm excited to start talking to customers and see what they think about the product so far!

If you want to experience a modern interface that makes sure you have the information you need, when you need it (and not relying on the mediocre tools provided by the established banks), feel free to test out Betterfolio (completely free & no strings attached).

During the corona-triggered financial market crash I realized how hard it is to closely track all your different investments and make the right qualified decisions as a financial non-expert.

The tools provided by the banks I used were really mediocre and provided very little data-driven insights. So I came up with the idea for Betterfolio, a portfolio tracker that enables you to effortlessly manage all of your savings and investments and started to code right away 👨‍💻
