Billisimo
Manage all your ever-growing SaaS subscriptions
It's been a long slog to get here, but Billisimo just passed 80 signups! This has been the result of several efforts, including product hunt launch (https://www.producthunt.com/posts/billisimo)
and word of mouth.
We were stuck around 30 signups for a long time, but what really turned the tide for us was press. I emailed 30 different several startups and got some of them on board with the trial period. Now I'm just hoping that a lot of them will convert to paying users soon. 🤞
Yesterday we launched Billisimo on in a couple of communities and with some startups! Overall it was decent and almost 30 new signups. Here are three lessons I learned:
Refine your website before launching. There were several typos and errors on my site that I could've fixed beforehand if I'd asked a few friends for their opinions.
They helped a lot to make sure things were clear moving forward
Focus on the positive.
I'm excited for what comes next!

It took 8 weeks due to my 9-5, but I'm finally done building the minimum viable product for Billisimo. I worked mostly nights and weekends, and I coded the whole thing in Vue + Laravel since that's that I'm the most comfortable with. In hindsight, there were a few features I built that probably could've waited until later. But I'm excited to start talking to customers and see what they think about the product so far!

I've read so many times that you should solve your own problem, and so last week I sat down to think about all the problems in my life.
It turned out that I had quite a few problems worth solving, and the most interesting one led me to the idea for Billisimo!
