I joined Twitter back in December 2018, pretty much after almost 2 years with few tweets I've started to be more serious about Twitter.

That was the moment when I explored for the first time the built in Twitter analytics.

As my followers community grew I needed to understand what's actually working and what's not so that I can produce more of the good things.

Twitter available analytics couldn't provide what I was looking for and therefore I've started my search for alternatives, and there were about two or three good options back then, but unjustified expensive for my purpose!

This was the moment when I look for the first time at the Twitter developer portal and Twitter APIs. I understood how many things I could do over the Twitter built in analytics and therefore my journey begun.

Birdesk was initially TwitterStats (https://web.archive.org/web/20220510221940/https://twitterstats.app) for a couple of months until May 2022, but renamed it due to Twitter's terms & conditions.

First version of Birdesk (TwitterStats) was launched in June 2021, had little marketing, got about 48 users until December '21, but... feedback was pouring in!

I realize that I need to do something about it, then I’ve filtered and prioritize the feedback about my newly born SaaS.

It was easy to understand that Birdesk needed polishing, new features and better management of my time and work.

The biggest take of them all is that I've documented on Twitter for 7 months each week the progress - https://twitter.com/AlexMano12/status/1479855463781093377

And so it begun.
