Blaze v2.1.0 brings a bunch of new features and improvements. Thanks to Hacktoberfest, last month had the most number of new contributors to the Blaze project!
v2.1.0 brings the Instant Rooms feature which makes it possible to create rooms with unique and interesting names and share files easily without having conflicts with other users.

After working for almost 6 months, Blaze v2.0 has finally launched! This update is a major re-write of the application and focused on improving stability, performance, and user experience of file-sharing altogether.
Blaze is now running on DigitalOcean servers thanks to their sponsorship 😇
Blaze also got a fresh new identity!

I had applied for the Open source sponsorship from DigitalOcean for Blaze and after a few days of wait, I was amazed to hear back from them knowing that they would be sponsoring Blaze for the next year.
This sponsorship not only makes Blaze better than before in terms of reliability and performance for the wide audience but also encourages me to build new features for Blaze in the coming months.
Thank you DigitalOcean!

I posted Blaze on Product Hunt! 💚
https://www.producthunt.com/posts/blaze-2
Posted without any expectations, and just wanted to share the software that I built with the community and get to know their thoughts.
I was delighted to see that Blaze had became the #1 Product of the Day 😇
PS: This is when I realized how important it is to manage server loads especially when launching in such a large community.

I came with the idea for Blaze when I was preparing for my exams! I had to quickly share some files from my mobile to the laptop and noticed how there wasn't any straight forward approach in doing so.
The only options I could find were either to create an account with a cloud storage provider and sync files between the devices or use Bluetooth which comes with the headache of pairing devices or stick to using cables.
This is when I decided to build Blaze on the web (so that it works on any device) and come up with an easier approach to share files ⚡

I didn’t pay much attention to it for a long time, but then I realized how inconvenient it is to live without a proper battery level display for Bluetooth devices. I have a mouse and headphones and one of them would constantly run out of battery unexpectedly. The strangest thing is that Windows seems to have a battery level display feature, but it only works with certain devices and doesn’t always work correctly. So I started looking for an alternative and found this site: https://workstation-master.com/bluetooth-battery-level.html I installed it and finally everything became clear: the battery level displays properly, you can set up notifications, and there’s a handy widget.
Now I know in advance when the battery is running low, and that really saves me a lot of stress. If you’re in a similar situation, I highly recommend it.

I built Blaze because I wanted a fast, easy and radically different way to transfer files between my laptop and mobile without creating any accounts.

Hi Pravin,
You can read about how to use Blaze here https://blaze.now.sh/how-it-works
Speaking of the domain, I'm pretty happy with blaze.now.sh for the time being :)
