Boardstacker

I was working on the Boardstacker project back and forth for about 6 months and never really got to the point where I was happy with it.

I was working on inessential features and not focusing on getting the website ready for release. I realized that this would take forever if I didn't change my approach.

In February I decided to release the website in one month – I just made the deadline up for myself and worked towards it.

After switching focus to release I managed to put all the pieces together and had a working site by the end of February! Eureka!

I'm a skateboarder – but right now I'm mostly a web developer. Until ten years ago skateboarding was the only thing I did. Day in, day out. But I had to quit since work took more and more of my time.

Late 2017 a new skate park was opening in my home town and I could not resist going there. And just like that – I got myself a new board, new shoes and was skating again.

As a skateboarder you run through a lot of boards and shoes. You could easily replace your gear every week if you could afford it. And you mostly buy the same gear over and over again – same models, same sizes.

That's why I wanted to create this site. I wanted a place where I could find my favorite shoes, in my specific size, and see where to buy them at lowest price.
