Efficient Video Management for Businesses
Well, this one blows my mind! Every day I'm looking at the live metrics, totally fascinated by how many people are using the platform daily. I'm always like "holy shit there are 20 people who I don't know streaming right now, on the platform you've built".
I know, the app is still an infant and not even properly launched yet, but these kinds of things get me totally fired up and excited for more.
So 36k minutes streamed in March, let's see if we can increase that in April.
Those kind of numbers interest me by the way much more than business related numbers, because that way I can see how the adoption of the platform is coming along. I want happy customers and users. All the rest will follow, I'm sure. π
On April 1st we got the next customer up and running (this time from France), which brings us to almost $1600 MRR, which is really exciting. I'm still working through potential customers in my personal network but it is already very fascinating to see how things develop and how people are using the platform and learn as much as I can from it.
In February/March I worked mostly on backend-related stuff, getting things more stable, flexible, and smooth and made sure existing customers are taken care of.
I also implemented transactional emails with MailerSend, which gets me another step closer to a fully automated platform.

Exciting week ahead, customer number 2 flips the switch to production on Wednesday. π€
But, while they were migrating their 1500+ videos into the system, they had a little question: "Hey Marcel, that's maybe a stupid question, but, how can we delete a playlist?".
Well, not a stupid question at all. I simply forgot to add the function. π¬ So I added it today and while I was at it, the way the playlist overview page looked, annoyed me since weeks. So I gave it a little update too.
This is what it looked like before: π

and here is what it looks like now: π

I also added a few privacy features π (might add PW protected lists later)

Last week's work is finally live! https://wearebold.af (is the domain a bit too much?? π¬) It is just the simplest version of an LP I could think of, so that I can start collecting leads. I've used @robhope's Landing Page book as a checklist and stuffed everything into a nice little nextjs page. I've also added a little promo video, which I put together over the weekend. Everything still needs to be improved, but it is a start. Live is better than perfect.

Thanks Luca! π It's more or less temporary, to be a bit more catchy in the beginning π

This seems like a cool idea! Do you have a demo of how to use it?

Hi Jesse, I currently have only two client instances running (adding proper multi-tenancy and a demo area right now π¬). I have a launch this week, but after I can record you a quick video..? Would that be OK for now? :)

My first customer actually inspired me to build Bold in the first place. It's a productized version of their requirements of an online video platform that is being used internally. They're already running it in production, but currently using just the MVP. IT's fully functional and the core features are all there, the only things missing are multi-tenancy and billing (I currently send them manual invoices π¬)

Most video platforms deliver an out-of-the-box experience. Besides changing colors and adding a logo, there's not much room for making it truly yours. Bold fills that gap with a modern toolset and a lightening fast API.
