Bookary: Smart Book Scanner
Scan Books. Build your library. Never buy duplicates again.
As a book lover, I kept running into a simple problem: I couldn't remember which books I already owned. More than once, I bought the same book twice. I also found it difficult to track books I'd lent to friends and family.
So I built Bookary, a simple app that lets you scan books, build a digital library, avoid duplicate purchases, and manage your collection from your phone.
Current features include:
β
Book barcode scanning
β
Personal library management
β
Duplicate book detection
β
Search by title, author, or ISBN
β
Reading statistics
Coming soon:
π Lending tracker
π Cloud sync & backup
π AI-powered recommendations
π Bookshelf scanning
I'm launching Bookary to get feedback from readers, collectors, students, and anyone managing a growing bookshelf. I'd love to hear what features would make it more useful for you.
About
I built Bookary because book lovers often forget which books they own, accidentally buy duplicates, or lose track of books they've lent to others. Bookary makes it easy to scan, organize, track, and manage a personal lib

The part I'd watch carefully is the difference between collection management and reading behavior.
Avoiding duplicate purchases is a very specific problem.
The roadmap starts moving toward a much broader one.
Sometimes those end up reinforcing each other.
Sometimes they quietly attract different kinds of users altogether.
