Boomcaster
Platform to record and livestream high fidelity podcasts
I haven’t updated in a while but I feel very good about where Boomcaster is. I have been extremely diligent about ensuring the product is stable, performant and scalable. Here is where I am feature-wise:
- Schedule podcasts and send calendar invitations
- Organize all your podcast recordings
- Record WAV audio
- Record up to 4K video
- Livestream to YT and FB in 2 clicks
- Customize studio with logo and podcast color palette
- Use studio customization for live streaming
- Composed web recording with personalization for every session
Today one of my first trial customers for Boomcaster converted to paid. It felt amazing! I need to get to 100 customers but this is a marathon, not a sprint. My goal is to create the most user friendly product for podcasters of any technical skill set.

It took a while to produce an MVP, but I had the first email go out to the list of prospects that wanted to try the platform. Yes, this was the Thanksgiving week and I got almost everyone respond positively. Many of them signed up. This was a good start, but long way to go!

I have been working on Boomcaster for several months and feel that I am ready to open up for beta. I have been using it for my own podcast and that gives me confidence that it meets the basic requirements. But it still needs work. I am keeping the users to a a super small group. I need to get this right.

Starting my own podcast with a cohost got me to realize the challenges that podcasters face and tools that are available in the market to create, edit and publish podcasts. My cohost and I were looking to leverage video both for recording and live-streaming, while also publishing podcasts. Even for someone technical, this seemed daunting. I really felt a strong desire to create a solution that produced super high quality media content that any podcaster will be able to use for their workflow. Something that is super user friendly with a clean interface!

I realized the complexities of recording and live-streaming podcasts when I started my first podcast and that gave birth to Boomcaster.
