Boring Startup Stuff

We broke 2000 subscribers last week (currently at 2150). We have some awesome new content for 2021 and are starting to finally see some organic SEO. We have not monetized anything yet, but are looking for strategic partners in the early part of next year to cover some of the costs.

This past week we hit 1800 subscribers. Given the fast reception, I decided to bring on a partner to work with me -- Katie. She and I have worked together at a previous startup. She is an awesome resource for startup operations knowledge and will hopefully bring this project to the next level!

We finally launched our website. Still lots of work to be done here but this makes our archives public and is a starting point for our longer term vision of bringing information about all the boring stuff startups deal with.

The jump in subscribers is almost 100% attributable to being launched on BetaList.

We recently hit 900 subscribers in under 2 months of working on the newsletter. The goal is to hit 10,000 by March 2021 (6 months).

Currently we are only expanding via a referral program and word of mouth but have toyed with the idea of advertising, co-writing on other newsletters and more aggressive organic outreach.
