Brand Narratives AI
Create an explainer video or UI demo in less than 5 minutes
Brand Narratives AI is one of the products built by StartupMap Hub — the platform where we tell the stories of the founders and companies building the future.
It isn't a tool we made and walked away from. Brand Narratives AI is the same engine StartupMap Hub uses to produce its own startup documentaries and explainer videos. If you've watched our work, you've already seen what it can do — we just opened it up so any founder can do the same with a single link.
It started with one documentary that nearly broke us
Our very first startup documentary took five days to make and cost close to $70 — and that was the "cheap" way, stitching together a handful of AI tools to script, narrate, and animate it. Every one of those days was spent fighting the seams.
Because that's the catch nobody warns you about: tool by tool, the output drifts. The voice changes between clips. The visual style won't hold. One scene looks cinematic and the next looks like a different project entirely. We'd export, wince, and start another round. Five days of that for one video.
So we built the thing we wished existed: one pipeline that keeps the script, the voice, and the look consistent from the first frame to the last — and does it in under five minutes, for a fraction of what that first attempt cost.
Then: 5 days
Days of stitching tools together, exporting, and redoing scenes that didn't match.
Then: ~$70 & inconsistent
Real money per video, and the voice and visual style drifted from clip to clip.
Now: under 5 minutes
One input, one consistent pipeline, one finished video — from $12, no patchwork required.
What we believe
Every founder deserves to have their story told well — not just the ones who can afford an agency or burn a week on editing. Great video has always been a credibility unlock for raising, selling, and launching, and it shouldn't be gated behind cost and complexity.
Anywhere in the world, we want the founder with a brilliant product and no video budget to walk away with something they're proud to ship. That's the whole point of Brand Narratives AI.

The internal use case is very clear — you had the problem yourselves and built the pipeline around it.
What have you seen from founders so far that tells you the thing they’re actually paying for is “telling their story well,” rather than simply getting a video produced faster and cheaper?
Every founder needs their story told well is actually just my opinion. The real reason founders would use this is faster and cheaper.
I appreciate you being candid about that.
I'd be interested in continuing the conversation by email if you're open to it. What's the best email to reach you on?
sure thing duncan@startupmaphub.com . Should probably get a brand narratives ai email
Thanks! I’ve just sent it over.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts whenever you have a chance.
“Explain a product in 5 minutes” is compelling, but it’s doing a lot of work across very different use cases.
The people who really value this tend to be:
• founders trying to convert visitors
• agencies producing demos at scale
Those are very different buyers with very different willingness to pay.
Feels like there’s an opportunity to anchor this more directly to a conversion outcome (e.g. landing page demos, onboarding flows, etc.) rather than just speed.
Are most users creating these for themselves, or for clients?
Happy to help tighten this — this kind of tool usually wins or loses on positioning alone.
Hey Alfie, this is a different perspevtive from what I had and it actually makes a lot of sense.
How can I anchor this more directly?
Currently we just have one person who came and made it for themselves.
With only 1 real user, I’d anchor everything around them.
Not “AI narratives” → but “built for X, to solve Y, with this outcome”
Early on, specificity beats scale every time. Once 3–5 similar users show up, the positioning basically writes itself.
