Feedback I had gotten from when I was on HN, several people suggest a video on the front page before they sign up to see inside the product.

I finally got around to make a video with Loom and uploading it to Youtube and sticking it on my front page.

Also, implemented my first update based off user feedback where users want the ability to sort results with a toggle or checkbox so they can find specific results faster.

I emailed the user and they loved the fact I implemented their idea!

Can I get an "awesome job" from the community?

Had a ️⭐️request⭐️ at brandchirps.com from a user that loved the product so much they wanted an upgrade yesterday.

I didn't have flow for that, so I created it on the spot and tested it and then sent the user a pro-rated invoice by email for the upgrade and waited.

Wasn't sure if they would actually pull the trigger, but they did and now I have my first upgraded user.

Awesome feeling. Can I get a "hell yeah" from the IH community?

Checked my email 📈 at brandchirps.com and noticed a customer signed up for our smallest plan.. but loved the product so much, they wanted to upgrade to our largest plan.

Pretty awesome!

I didn't have upgrade flow built in, so I coded up a solution and let the customer know they could upgrade now.

Feeling good about the growth. Need to get more people into the product to see if I can build this out better.

Implemented some new algo fixes to clean up even more of the results I find for customers and adding in more sources ( Wasn't pulling as much on 1 platform, now am pulling a lot more ).

Had some churn, most people do not reply back, but had one customer let me know they were just busy and would come back later.

Most of traffic is coming from news.ycombinator and direct type in. Out of all the directories I went after, only Betalist really provided traffic.

Going to tap into other forms of traffic this week to see what can be obtained, like more social posting and paid ads.

Implemented a new algo for pre-filtering results on Brandchirps.com. Which means, all results coming in are now less spammy and higher quality.

Sent email to all users about improved results and followed up with some users about starting their first project.

And I spent the day sending an email about a new feature that was released and killing one bug I found in the code.

Developed a plan for marketing more to new customers via LinkedIn and 1 other platform. Should be able to start those plans tomorrow.

Learned that most of those "startup directories" and ProductHunt alternatives are a complete waste of time except one.

I signed up for one of my competitors to see what kind of onboarding they have.

While launching branchirps.com, I ran into a new issue that I decided could be built into a SaaS as well.

While I am not looking to distract myself, I do think by solving this new issue for myself ( which is how I also built brandchirps ), I can turn it into a side project that I build out slowly while pushing brandchirps.

Who knows, maybe this side project ends up larger.

Took some feedback I got on HackerNews and decided to create a video on how the product works. Did a rough 1st edit and will put on the site.

Key reason is, getting it perfect will delay me from getting it up and letting people see it. So put it up now and perfect it later as I go along.

Also working on improving the quality of results some as well too. Been researching and testing on KV stores that will work best with my setup and flow.

In looking for ways to increase value to my customers, I added in sentiment analysis to our monitoring results.

Customer will be able to quickly see conversations about their brand and terms that might be negative, positive, or neutral.

Making it easily more identifiable which conversations they may need to jump into.

And all this for 7x cheaper than our next real competitor.

After launching and getting in my first paid customers, I sent out an email asking how they were getting around within Brandchirps and how I could help them further.

Not very many people replied back. But I did get a couple of customers who took the time to let me know some features they wanted and ask a few questions about how to better use the tool.

Already has given me ideas on making things great for them.
