Built Brandswitch (https://brandswitch.co) — a brand discovery platform that finds alternatives to any brand or SaaS tool.
The pipeline: daily GitHub Actions cron fetches from 4 affiliate APIs. Claude Batch API classifies 64K brands into 24 categories for ~$5. Custom 5-signal similarity algorithm computes alternatives. Everything writes to static JSON — zero database, zero hosting costs beyond Vercel.
Recently expanded into SaaS/AI tools where commissions are 20-50% recurring monthly vs one-time retail clicks. The whole thing runs for ~$20/month.
Stats after 2 weeks: 64K brands, 18 markets, 6 languages, ~40 search clicks/day growing.
