Brush Ninja

I replaced Adsense with a proper advertising company and I'm now earning a reasonable amount each month. It varies based upon demand and traffic but is a higher rpm. Combined with the memberships I am now earning enough to justify the effort. Really happy with this. I need to work on traffic now to make it more stable throughout the year.

The memberships are making a small amount of money, but not enough to live on, so I'm going to experiment with advertising. Currently using Adsense, with 500k page views a month. Plan to try other ad companies in the future, but I want to see what this does first.

In an attempt to better monetise the site I added paid memberships and user accounts so that users can unlock additional functionality for a small monthly fee. The site is entirely static so the memberships use Userbase, and payments are made with Stripe.
