I am realising that the definition of NoCode is very narrow. It only includes Visual Coding tools like Bubble, Webflow + integrators like Zapier/Parabola + Some tools like Airtable.

Personally I think any tool that has an API should be considered a nocode tool. Also, how come people forget CMSes like Wordpress, Drupal that really are great nocode tools to put functionality together!

January 4, 2020 Beta launch of Build a stack

All done. got a theme as well. And things work perfectly. Still need to get a few things done. Register as affiliate for the tools I am including, Write the course on "How I built BaS without code", tweet all the included products to inform them about BaS, build a decent Twitter following, etc, etc

November 25, 2019 Tested whether BaS can be built without code

Finally confirmed that I can build Build a Stack without writing any code. I used a sandbox installation with WP All Import. Did that because WP All Import + ACF were the two main pieces of software I needed to check if I could do this.

Pleased to report that it is possible for me to launch this without code (except a few code snippets)

May 11, 2019 Got the idea while speaking to a friend

I was explaining to a friend of mine (CIO of a pretty large organisation) that given the explosion of software tools, and the ability to integrate them coz they all provide an API is revolutionising the software industry. No longer do companies need to tie themselves to a particular stack (Oracle, SAS, Salesforce, etc). You can pick and choose.

Anyway, I decided to send him an excel. Didn't like it. Then tried an Airtable. Still wasn't able to fit all the info I needed to.

And I finally realised that I can actually make this in to a product. That was the origin of Build a stack

About

I am passionate about efficiency. So I am constantly looking for tools to simplify my life/business. Over time. I used/tried a lot of them for my start-ups. Build a stack is my "very expensive bookmarking tool" :)
