I think this is a really great idea. I've been through the process myself building a Shopify App with Django and the docs and resources are mostly outdated or broken.
I've seen a lot of people struggling with this. Apparently there's a Facebook group where you can get some help.
Given that I had some experience with OAuth and friends it wasn't all too hard but I can see that the whole app development process can be really frustrating.

Another area I'd be interested in is the whole workflow end-to-end. Basically from idea to going live in the App Store. Building the app is the first part, getting it through the review process (e.g. what are the typical roadblocks and mistakes people face here?!) and in front of customers is another challenge.
