Hey IH! 👋 I'm excited to share Bulk Calendar Generator, a free tool I built to help my friend who was drowning in event scheduling work.
The Origin Story
A few months ago, my friend who runs an event planning business was venting about spending entire weekends copying event details from Excel into various calendar apps. She manages multiple venues and hundreds of events each month.
The worst part? She was doing it all manually because existing solutions were either:
Too expensive for her small business
Required uploading sensitive client data to unknown servers
Limited the number of events you could convert
The Solution
I built Bulk Calendar Generator with three core principles:
Completely free - no premium tier, no limits
100% private - all processing happens in the browser
Dead simple to use - upload Excel, map columns, download calendar file

What I Learned
Solve real problems for real people. Watching my friend's reaction when a 6-hour task turned into a 2-minute process was incredibly rewarding.
Privacy can be a feature. By processing everything in the browser, we eliminated data security concerns completely.
Sometimes the best monetization strategy is not monetizing at all. The tool provides value, builds goodwill, and might lead to interesting opportunities in the future.
What's Next
I'm focused on making the tool even more user-friendly based on feedback. Future plans include:

More calendar format support
Customizable event field mapping

It would be better if you put up a few sample spreadsheets and a tutorial short video explaining how doing the mapping works.
