Bumblebee
Data preparation tool for Data Scientists
It took eight weeks, but I'm finally done building the minimum viable product for Bumblebee. I worked days, nights, and weekends, and I coded Optimus(the data processing engine) in Python because it is gaining momentum for data processing tasks. In hindsight, there were a few features I built that probably could've waited until later. But I'm excited to start talking to customers and see what they think about the product so far!
We thought that handling data was still so complicated using Python. So, some months ago, I started prototyping Bumblebee. Today we are releasing it as opensource expecting some people with the same problems help us to build a UI/UX that can make the tedious work of data preparation more enjoyable.

The idea came up with the frustration of preparing data for analytics and machine learning models. The tools were to complex to learn for a newbie or too expensive (500 USD a month per user).
As a marketing agency owner at the time, I was able to work with some employees on an early Optimus prototype. Optimus has been steadily growing since that time.

After using open source and paid products, I have not found a single and affordable way to prepare big data.
