On 1st of August, Burner Mail passed $1000 MRR with 330 paying users 🎉
Congratulations, Alexandra. It's a nice product. I will share it in my network; quite useful.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the support. 🙂
Amazing! Congrats. Now, aim for $10,000 MRR!
Thank you, will do!
Congrats Alexandra. How long did it take you to get here? On my last startup it took me two years to get to 1k MMR and after that 12 more months to get to 10k
Thank you, Razvan! It took us almost 1 year to get to 1k. Getting to 10k in only 12 months is really impressive, hopefully we'll also get there soon enough. Did you do anything in particular/changed something about your business/marketing to get to such a rapid growth?
Congrats @perseaalexandra, looks awesome. I like the pricing. Can I customize the burner email address, for e.g if I want monik@<custom-name>.com?
Nicely Done!
Thank you so much! 🙂
Congrats @perseaalexandra
Thank you so much! 🙂
Congrats! I've been following you guys :) I remember reading that launching on Reddit / Product Hunt and engaging in discussions were important for getting initial traction. How did you go from 200 to 300 paying customers? Is it just primarily Word of Mouth that is fuelling new customer acquisition now? Or something else?
Thank you so much! Lately we've been focusing more on long-term growth which includes content creation and reaching out to security/privacy blogs, and software reviews blogs.
YAAAYYY!! Congrats <3
Thank you so much! 🙂
Felicitari! :)
Multumesc! 🙂
useful service. quite like it. would like more options for names in burner emails.
Thank you so much! Our premium package allows you to create burner emails with any name, as long as it's available. If a burner address is not available you can try using a different domain or you have the option to use your own custom domain.
Let me know if that makes sense 🙂
Just heard of this service, and I think it's a great one!
Thank you so much! Don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any feedback or questions 🙂
Congrats! What number is ramen profitability for you guys?
Thank you! With a frugal lifestyle that would be somewhere around $2k/month
Nice work!
Thank you so much! 🙂
Great job Alexandra! I wish I can get to where you are soon. How has your journey been like getting to 330 paying users?
Thank you! It has been a long journey and I have learned to have patience with myself and the process. You have to learn how to properly market to your niche, how to sell yourself and your product, how to ask for feedback, how to reduce churn, etc. You never get "there", you constantly learn and improve every aspect of your product and business.
Congrats!
Thank you so much! 🙂
Awesome. Congratulations.!! Keep hacking
Thank you, will do! 🙂
Congratulations!! Nice product!!
Thank you so much! 🙂
Our ultimate revenue goal is to get to ramen profitability and be able to live off of Burner Mail profits.
Slowly getting there!
Slow and steady wins the race! 🙂
Amazing news! Keep the hustle going :D
Thank you so much! 🙂
BOOOM, well done!
Thank you so much! 🙂
Amazing!
Thank you so much! 🙂
Congrats! What has been working for you to help get this customers?
Thank you so much! A combination of learning how to properly market for my niche, how to find my customer's pain points, how to sell, how to ask for help & support when I need it, excellent customer support, and choosing to be honest and transparent.
Superb! Keep the hustle going
Thank you so much! 🙂
Congrats! Very cool and useful product.
I've been doing the same for my own email by using custom aliases for each account on a catch-all email address, and blocking those aliases when needed but it's not always ideal.
Do you also have support for custom domains and/or a catch-all like option?
Thank you!
Our premium plan includes custom domains, however we do not support catch-all aliases. That's because they have many security vulnerabilities.
The biggest security/privacy issue is that you can unmask catch-all aliases. Here's an in-depth explanation of how that's possible: https://medium.com/intigriti/abusing-autoresponders-and-email-bounces-9b1995eb53c2
Good read, thanks for sharing the link. I'll think about migrating to your service perhaps in the future, might be a slight mess because of how it's set up on my end right now.
Amazing! How do you find your audience? I mean any particular platforms, forums that you specifically target?
We used to engage in security and privacy discussions on reddit/twitter/facebook etc, but lately we've been focusing more on long-term growth which includes reaching out to security/privacy newsletters & SEO.
Hi Alex, where are you guys based at?
Do you find that the chat integration on the landing page helps conversion rates?
Many congratulations @perseaalexandra
