Congrats Alexandra. How long did it take you to get here? On my last startup it took me two years to get to 1k MMR and after that 12 more months to get to 10k

Congrats! I've been following you guys :) I remember reading that launching on Reddit / Product Hunt and engaging in discussions were important for getting initial traction. How did you go from 200 to 300 paying customers? Is it just primarily Word of Mouth that is fuelling new customer acquisition now? Or something else?

Thank you so much! Our premium package allows you to create burner emails with any name, as long as it's available. If a burner address is not available you can try using a different domain or you have the option to use your own custom domain.

Thank you! It has been a long journey and I have learned to have patience with myself and the process. You have to learn how to properly market to your niche, how to sell yourself and your product, how to ask for feedback, how to reduce churn, etc. You never get "there", you constantly learn and improve every aspect of your product and business.

I've been doing the same for my own email by using custom aliases for each account on a catch-all email address, and blocking those aliases when needed but it's not always ideal.Do you also have support for custom domains and/or a catch-all like option?

Our premium plan includes custom domains, however we do not support catch-all aliases. That's because they have many security vulnerabilities.

- Persistence and patience are really important.
- Marketing your product and talking to customers should be a daily habit.
- Learn to fail often and quickly.
- Don't be afraid to ask.
- You have to put yourself and your product out there even if you risk to make a total fool of yourself.
- Don't waste your time trying to convince disbelievers of your product. Your time is better spent on taking feedback from current customers or marketing somewhere else.

Amazing! I really love the browser extension idea.
One of the risks with this kind of service is that eventually
tryninja.iogets blocked in sign-up forms. I'm pretty sure this happened with Mailinator a while back.It's probably not a big concern for you while you're small but I just wanted to throw an idea your way in case you ever want to do it. What you could do as a "premium" pricing model is offer each user a unique top level domain name when they register. This way every single user could be generated a completely unique domain. Something like
facebook.h294h@ce50d97c0eef.com. Not sure if there's any technical issues owning so many top level domains but anyway, that's the idea.Or, alternatively, you could also let them use a top level domain that they already own. I realize this could get complex because they'd probably have to configure MX records to point to your mail servers and stuff but at this point I'm just thinking out loud. Feel free to ignore me :)

Glad you like the idea :) Now that I think about it, it would be even better if the generated domains are readable, the tricky part would be finding domains that aren't already taken.
Maybe you could use a random word generator to pick adjective noun combinations to make it more fun :)

Thanks. Honestly I don't remember anymore lol, I used one of those logo generators that you find online and then googled the font and sketched it out in Photoshop. I wish I could tell you but I don't remember anymore and I have a different system so I don't have the font on my PC anymore.
