September 12, 2026 I built a business management system inside Google Sheets instead of another SaaS app

Small businesses often end up managing products, orders, customers, and finances across several separate spreadsheets. The information is there, but it becomes harder to keep everything connected and understand what is actually happening in the business.

That is why I built BUSINESS OPERATIONS SYSTEM (BOS).

BOS brings inventory, products, orders, sales, CRM, finance, profit tracking, and analytics into one structured Google Sheets workspace. It also includes automated calculations, import/export tools, and an interface available in 9 languages.

I chose Google Sheets intentionally. Many small business owners already know how to use it, so they can start without installing new software, learning a complicated ERP, or paying another monthly subscription.

My goal with BOS is to make day-to-day business management more organized and practical while keeping the system familiar and accessible.

I’ve now launched the first public version and I’d really appreciate feedback from other founders: would you use a system like this for your business, and what would you want to see improved or added?

    Sheets is a sensible starting point when a team already knows it. The friction I watch for is when someone has to reconcile the same value across several tabs. I'm testing a narrower workforce example with sample rows across Overview → Attendance → Timesheets → Leave → Payroll estimate, plus CSV import/export; the last step is an hours estimate only, not payroll processing.
