I joined Women Make's 30 day challenge to build and launch something. It was great timing when I found out about it, and took that as a sign to start to build this platform. But it had to be 'easy'/MVP enough to launch in 30 days.

I spent the first week testing and deciding no code tools, finally deciding on Webflow because I have more flexibility in design and I didn't mind the high learning curve.

Then I just began building and designing. I hit some blockers here and there, but managed to overcome it even with frustration. It was around the 20th that I was slowly finishing up the page when I happened to find out that 25 October was International Artist Day. What better way to launch the product! So I quickly pivoted and finish up whatever remaining work I had to do. And the rest was history.

I'm not sure how I came about it, but I like admiring and appreciating art and I've always find it troublesome to look for artists locally. You'd need to go to art/comic markets to find them, because there is no one platform to do that. Otherwise it's mostly word of mouth, or if an artist has a really, really good online presence.

I asked a few friends who does art and found the same problem they face.

Then I finally decided - why not create a platform (and community) of local artists to find, interact, learn from each other.
