BuzzWire — Free Instagram DM Automation
Safe Instagram DM automation, free forever
Spent the week building one page instead of ten: a meta-analysis of the 3 biggest "best time to post on Instagram" studies (15M+ posts combined). The surprise: they disagree by up to 14 hours, and each one is right by its own methodology. Buffer measures median engagement, Sprout measures volume, Later optimizes for empty feeds. Most articles just pick one and present it as truth. https://buzzwire.io/blog/best-time-to-post-on-instagram — curious if others have found their own Insights beating all three.
BuzzWire is free Instagram DM automation — comment-to-DM, story replies, and auto-reply keywords — built around one idea: enforce Meta's actual published limits (200 DMs/hour, 4-week warm-up) instead of promising creators they won't get banned.
Why now: ManyChat cut its free plan from 1,000 contacts to 25 with per-contact billing, and Meta slashed DM rate limits during its biggest suspension wave yet. Creators need a ManyChat alternative that's free without metering and safe by architecture, not by blog post.
This week: shipped the site, un-orphaned six comparison pages, submitted to 9 directories (got auto-flagged "B2C" by G2's classifier — appeal filed 😅), and set up the domain email. Next up: a free ManyChat cost calculator so creators can see what they're actually paying.
Free forever, no contact caps. Pro is $9.99. Following along → buzzwire.io

Week 1 in public — love the energy! Excited to see how you balance automation with safety on Instagram

The interesting part is that “safe by architecture” makes the constraint itself part of the product.
Most automation tools are implicitly selling how much they let users do. You're making a promise around what BuzzWire deliberately won't let them do.
That feels like a consequential distinction.

You've articulated it better than my landing page does, honestly.
The uncomfortable part of building this way: selling restraint is hard. When someone comparison-shops DM tools, "10,000 DMs/day" looks like more value than "200/hour, enforced." I'm betting that the 2025–26 suspension wave changed what creators optimize for — that after you've watched peers lose accounts, the constraint reads as the feature. If that bet is wrong, the positioning fails no matter how principled it is.
The other consequence nobody warns you about: when your product promise is "we won't let you," you can never quietly walk it back. The day I add a "boost mode" is the day the whole thing becomes a lie. So the constraint disciplines me as much as the user — which is probably what a real promise is supposed to do.

I appreciate you taking the time to explain your thinking.
I'd enjoy continuing the conversation outside the thread. What's the best email to reach you on?

ManyChat cut its free tier to 25 contacts and Meta slashed DM limits during its biggest ban wave — creators got squeezed from both sides.
