No-Code Buzz
Take your "No-Code" to the next level 🚀
Over the weekend of the hackathon, I built the MVP for buzzz.design using no-code, on Bubble. This was the fastest I've ever built an app - 36 hours, with very little sleep 💤 and a lot of coffee ☕.
The outcome - something I am incredibly proud of and believe could actually be a really viable SaaS business. I came second in the hackathon and got some incredible feedback and encouragement.
Three days later, I tightened up all the loose ends, added Social sign ups, did a bunch of testing and then officially launched my MVP on Twitter. In the spirit of #BuildingInPublic, I also shared an early partial version of the Bubble editor, so more people could learn how Bubble's new responsive engine works.
Now time to hustle and see where this can go!!!
In early October, I wrapped up the Design Camp by Buildcamp.io and began on my journey building Junior Boss. During this design course, one of my batch mates built buildweekend.co, a no-code weekend hackathon.
As the day grew close, I started thinking of an idea that had been at the back of my mind ever since the design camp.
I believe that a lot of people are really great at building products, but not always great at "design". What if there was a way for these people to have great designers from around the world help them take their designs to the next level?
The way to do that currently would be by hiring individual freelancers on fiverr or some other platform and having them build you a design.
What if that interaction could be reversed. What if you could share your current designs and expectations and launch a "Bounty" for a certain prize. Multiple designers could then competed to help make your designs better and the winner gets the prize.
Thus Buzzz.Design was born. I decided that this Build Weekend hackathon would be the perfect time to build it as it was simple to build an MVP and I would be time boxed to 48 hours to see how it turns out.
Bubble had also just recently released their new Responsive Engine in Beta and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to learn how it works, so I can use it in the future.
