C++ JOBS

Exactly one week after launching the Discord chat server of C++ JOBS, the user count passed the 100 mark!

For now the server is private and I have only been inviting people who signed up for the newsletter.

The next step will be to allow them to invite their connections.

I hope to get to 500 users by the end of the month.

Today the newsletter passed the 500 subscribers mark.

Interesting to notice how it took it 4 months to go from 300 to 400 and 2 months to go from 400 to 500.

The main reason for the current growth is that now people are signing up to get an invite to the Discord server.

I also started to push the newsletter on my social media channels and fixed few minor issued on the website.

If sign-ups keep coming at this rate I will be celebrating 1000 subscribers pretty soon!

Today I opened the official Discord server of C++ JOBS and this is the first step to turn a website into a true community dedicated to all the C/C++ developers.

This server will not only be a place to find the latest and hottest jobs in the industry, but it will mostly be a reference community for everything C/C++, from open source projects to news, tutorials and articles.

At the moment the server is invitation only and my plan is to get to 500 users before making it public.

The LinkedIn page of C++ JOBS went from 2,000 to 3,000 followers in less than 110 days.

That was pure organic growth as I didn't spend a cent in advertising.

Another positive note was the engagement rate above 8%, which is way better than many other similar pages on LinkedIn.

Even if I created C++ JOBS at the beginning of 2017, I never started to regularly post content until this day.

On this date my social following was as follow:

• 571 LinkedIn followers
• 163 newsletter signups
• 49 Twitter followers

That was the result of a very sporadic posting done during the whole year.
