Cabin Fever Fit
Home Workout Newsletter
Two days ago I had 30 subs and started running Facebook ads for Cabin Fever Fit and this morning I'm already at the 100 sub mark! Crazy.
I'm so excited that FB ads are working. The CPL (cost per lead) has been hovering around $0.60 per lead but today it's down to $0.36 per lead! No idea what the industry standard CPL is for a free newsletter like mine, but with it being this cheap to acquire new subs I'm going to keeps these ads going for a while.
The goal is to get a large enough (and engaged enough) audience where I could start charging advertisers to sponsor the newsletter.
Finished my landing page and first 3 emails in the series and decided it was time to share it with the world...which was honestly a bit scary.
My first marketing action was to share the newsletter with a private Facebook group (Hustle Trends), and it was well received! Got about 25 signups so far from that one post and a lot of positive feedback on the landing page design.
Next steps:
-
Launch on Product Hunt 😱 I've never launched on PH so I'm a bit nervous, starting to educate myself on best practices for a successful launch. I'll be doing a deep dive on the IH article by @Nickt0783 ! Great resource.

Start running Facebook and Instagram ads to get signups. This one is much more straightforward to me since I'm a media buyer. I won't spend a lot of money on this but curious to see what my CPA will look like...ad buys are on a huge sale right now with the whole COVID-19 thing.
I'll report back with results as they come in!

With many gyms still closed and people quarantined at home I thought it was a good time to launch a home workout newsletter. It's more important than ever for us to stay healthy mentally and physically 💪
