CairnTernet
Build a digital Cairn. Share the mystical experience.
I am actively developing this project, lately I've started a new job so development has slowed. Some goals I have are to focus the experience for mobile and tablet, and make my JS more cohesive.
This project was born out of a JavaScript class I took at RISD. I had picked up bits and pieces of DOM manipulation with JS before, but I wanted to put more effort into understanding the language. Part of my motivation hinged on interaction and free form creativity for the user.

I added a pebble to a Cairn while hiking, and over time envisioned a digital experience for people fumbling, trekking and finding their way through the tame and wild of the internet.
It was in the White Mountains, NH in 2014. The Cairn was a mix of rocks that had been there for ages, and stones that had been placed probably hours earlier. Walking in the woods in some ways is similar to surfing the internet. In the woods, or on a mountainside a hiker can come across many wonders and mysteries. What parody is there for a Cairn on the internet? Where do internet users leave their mark for others to follow? Cairns have ancient roots in human civilization, the internet is young. I can talk about this concept for a long time. My point is there is not a Cairn on the internet, at least not until now.
