CalculateVisa - Fill Once, Get All
Fill once, Get all work visa eligibility!
During the creation of calculatevisa.com, we collected information of various work / entrepreneur visas. We then decided to build a curated list similar to Awesome list. Also, we aimed to use this list to see if our idea is valid or not. Therefore, we open sourced this visa list one month ago: https://github.com/acacess/awesome-immigration, and posted in one Chinese social media website. Surprisingly, people liked this list, so they stared and forked this list. So far, we already gained 168 stars and 15 forks, hooray!
Hello world!
Calculatevisa.com aims to help people to save their time when they apply for a work visa to immigrate to another country. A number of work visas are point-based, which requires applicants to fill a questionnaire for evaluation. Filling such questionnaires one by one is tedious, so Calculatevisa.com comes to help. You only fill 6 magical questions, and you will get the eligibility of 6 visa from 5 countries. Time saver!
Hope you like it!

Good flow, the "Start now" button really invites you to click on it and the subsequent questionnaire is not too bothering. Didn't make it to the end of it because it asked to enter my work experience into a huge form...

thx for the feedback. Can you tell us what stoped u? Is the form too long or the question too private?

I just imagined how laborious it would be to enter all of my work experience there. But then again, I'm not part of your target audience, so that may be irrelevant

yes, we are improving UX. All questions were extracted from multiple official immigrant websites, which were used to evaluate the eligibility of the applicant. In this sense, we have little room to modify these questions, so we focus on improving the UX of answering these questions.

sorry, my bad, it should be CalculateVisa.com
you're right, I guess the good url is https://calculatevisa.com
yes, good guess!
Cool site and great work with the list! I starred it as well.
There's a bit of a typo on the site where the pricing is "Free" but the details say "Save 50% cost to see the full result" which is a bit confusing.
Charging people in exchange for them not having to sign up is an interesting model. What inspired you to go with that?
thx for staring.
We think that applying for a visa is a very private thing to our users, so we want to show our respect to our users' privacy. Let's see how this pricing model works.
About the typo, we will think about it, and thanks for the honest feedback!
