Canopy API
The missing GraphQL API for Amazon.com
A few new subscribers this month with some heavy usage bumped us into ramen profitability. This is possibly an anomaly associated with Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals, but so far none of these users have churned.
Feedback on the product offering has been mostly positive, with a few new features implemented to support these new customers.
We've signed up over 200 customers, with 20 MAU and growing. A lot of churn, since our product caters to indie hackers with pay as you go pricing.
Still acquiring roughly 1 new customer per day, no advertising and minimal content. Will likely try advertising again, and generate a bit more content.

Last month we signed up our 100th customer. We're now up to 110 customers and growing at around 1 new customer per day on average.
We are doing no paid advertising at the moment. When we were advertising, we received a large spike in traffic and additional signups, but very few upgraded to a paid plan. Many of these users signed up for free plans, asked for new features, and then abandoned the product which was a lot of extra headache.
When the product is generating more revenue from our first 100 users we will likely try to advertise again.

MRR has increased over 100% MoM ($6 vs $14). Net profit is still negative, but we should be able to achieve profitability with a few additional paying customers. We have started advertising on Google with $3 per day to hopefully acquire customers faster. Will share updated on Google ads performance as more data becomes available. Daily ad spend will increase as we fine-tune our ads for conversions.

We currently have 34 sign ups, with 3 people using the API daily. This is exciting, as this has been totally organic thus far. We're going to start some paid marketing in the near future. Will probably start with Google ads, and work our way to different sources from there.

Congrats Ryan! Any active user helps with testing the product and maintaining hope.

Do you have any idea on which platforms you are going to go to for paid marketing?
PS: I love the aesthetic of your landing page.

Thanks!
For a developer product like ours Google Ads seems like the best fit. I imagine our ads will only convert if someone is already looking for an API solution like ours, and advertising on Google will help us get more visibility in search results.
Will keep folks posted on results and ad spend.

Our first customer paid his first invoice resulting in our first ever collected invoice! We have received decent traction with 20+ sign ups. Our first paying customer signed up within a day of launching.
Our other sign ups are all still using the free plan. Finding a second paying customer has been slow!

Sharing the product on Product Hunt will help me validate the size of the market, get feedback, and hopefully a few new customers.
It will be difficult to rank highly since I don't have much of a following and this is a very niche product. Will share traffic numbers at the end of the day.
Support much appreciated!

Our first organic user updated to a paid plan today. This first customer likely won't put us over the break even mark, but it's a start!
Our product bills by usage, so as this customer grows so should our revenue. We developed our product and pricing to align our incentives with our customers.

Our first organic user signed up for an account today. The user must have found us through Betalist or Indiehackers, as we haven't done much in the way of content or advertising yet. The user is on a free plan, but hopefully they provide valuable feedback for improving the product and eventually become a paying customer.

A customer reached out a couple of days ago asking for Amazon UK support. Today that feature is deployed to the Graph which allows users to select between Amazon US (Amazon.com) or Amazon UK (Amazon.co.uk).
This lays the foundation for supporting additional Amazon international sites as well.

I realized that there wasn't a GraphQL API for Amazon product, category, and search data that can be used to build ecommerce tooling, so I built one :)
