Starting something new.

I'm Karl. I'm new around these here parts. About a month ago I was laid off and I had to figure out what's next pretty dang quick. Capsule.graphics is what I decided to do.

Capsule is a design and development studio of just one person, me. We design, develop, launch, and improve apps and websites. Capsule offers unlimited design and development support, for a flat monthly fee, which of course is silly. How much can one person do? Especially if they have other clients? It turns out a whole heck of a lot!

By eschewing restrictive practices around scope, meetings, and design processes, I can get a lot done really really fast. I've been doing it for 13 years!

OK but Why?

Besides money, I have always wanted to make a lot of cool stuff, but could never find the time, to do so. Every idea, as fragile as it is, requires time and effort to make it real. I want to make my ideas real, and help others to make their dreams real too. How do I do that? The only resource is time, and for all of us it is so limited.

The only answer I found was to be fast. Fast as fuck. And Good. Good as hell. If you want to make more things then you need to make more things. I want to push myself to the edge of my ability and then go beyond. Get fast as hell. The only way to do that is the hard way, make a lot of projects as fast as I can, and I'll get faster and better.

Capsule is a selfish attempt to make our dreams come true.
