November 11, 2019 Acquired new domains 🤘🛒

When the idea first came about in 2017 I wanted the domain cart.com but the owner wanted $1.5m for it. I then quickly reached out to the owner of cart.me and he wanted $25k for it. I left the idea of buying that domain alone and then reached out to the owner a month or so ago about it again. After two years of negotiations with the owner of cart.me, I was finally able to negotiate it down to a number that worked for both of us so I'm now the VERY proud owner of the domain, cart.me 🤘

We also bought https://cart.app as well. We plan on using cart.app as the landing page of our brand to educate consumers and merchants about our app and then the cart.me domain will be used for individual profile url's for consumers (ie cart.me/travisjohnson). We're super stoked to have these awesome domains under belt so we can have killer branded domains right from the start 😁

October 1, 2019 Started designing the apps

Let the long nights and weekends begin 🤘 After 2 years of sleeping on the idea, I finally put my foot down and decided to finally spend the time it'll take to build 'CartSaver'. We've started by designing the User Flow map, and mockups of the consumer apps and the Shopify Sales Channel. Development will begin next week! I'll continue to keep you updated weekly or monthly.

September 2017 The idea is born 💡

I am also founder of a Shopify web design/development agency called WITTY, wittycreative.com (founded in 2009). We help people every day try and increase their sales by increasing their conversion rates. Many of them complain about their abandoned cart rate and I thought there had to be a solution to this issue that greatly decreased the abandoned cart rate for all stores.

After a second, it came to me to build an app that allows consumers to save all of their carts from around the internet into one cart and allow them to checkout on all of them at the same time, and also build a merchant version of the app that allows merchants to send messages to consumers who have their products in their 'CartSaver' cart, even when they don't have their email or phone number.

There's a lot more to it but that's the general idea. We think it has a lot of potential to become a daily used app for all consumers and merchants 🤞
