Hi, this is my 1st SaaS and I have a struggle finding users, even those on the free plan.
Not sure if I missed the whole point with it or not.
I usually launched and built WordPress plugins. With the free plugin repository, I usually got 100s of users within months without any marketing.
I am really bad at marketing I guess and don't know what or where to focus.
So I would like to get more feedback on it and what some of you would try to get users to try it.
I know there is market for it, because the competitor rumble.studio seems to do pretty well. Their "ideas" board is active.
I built this tool to help myself record podcast episodes, spending only a few minutes per day when completely busy.
I am currently refactoring the tool a bit to allow interview-like audio with pre-recorded questions. And then focus on SEO and such.
What are your thoughts on using Ads or sponsor newsletters and such? Has something like that helped you acquiring users?
Should I try and pivot it a bit different? Create examples on using it as a tool to record podcasts, audiobooks, testimonials and such?
Even though a lot of us are really busy and have busy schedules, I have managed to get 3 people join me in recording episodes in an asynchronous way.
I do prefer seeing people when talking to them, but when you're too busy, CastAsync seems to work perfectly for me.
Also, this is a perfect way to see such software being used by others and I'll learn if they were confused on how to use it.
Their feedback will greatly improve the user experience of it.

I've finally launched paid plans on CastAsync.
Until today, you could sign up only for a free account but now, you can register with a paid plan as well.
Some features included with paid plans are still under development.
I've used LemonSqueezy for my platform to process payments. Users get nice invoices and also they can manage subscriptions through it.
For now, it checks on subscription status through a queued job. Later on, it will use LemonSqueezy webhook flow to get updates on any change on the subscription.
At the beginning of 2022, my friend and I started our own podcast Line42, a podcast on freelancing & web development: https://line42.transistor.fm/episodes.
The problem we faced after a few months of recording is that sometimes life and business get in your way.
So we had to pause recording it because of such events that kept us from being able to find time for sit down and record an episode.
We've discussed this issue we had and I came up with the idea after our phone call.
A way to record your episodes without you needing your co-host or guests to be there at the same time.
So I imagined a product where I can record what I wanted to say for 5-10 minutes.
Then wait for my co-host to jump in and do the same (maybe the same day or the next day).
After that, we'd repeat the process until we're happy with the episode.
So I really liked it since we would also be the first customer of the product.
A month or two after it, I finally launched (soft-launched) the MVP on https://castasync.com
