Digital Signage as a service
We are taking a risky bet, but I think it is the right move for Castmill, considering how crowded is the digital signage landscape, and because at the end of the day, we just want our product to be used, hopefully, we will be able to fund its development for many years to come. As part of our efforts on "doubling down" on Castmill, we have created a new web page. I like to call it more like a portal.
The old one had really bad SEO capabilities and it was besides looking outdated quite difficult to update.
This time I opted for a 100% static portal built using "eleventy" (https://www.11ty.dev/) which I strongly recommend if you are thinking about building your product page.
I spent most time optimizing the page so that it would be a potent marketing tool with great SEO potential. For example, I added an automatic cover generation, so that all pages will look big and nice when shared on social media.
As with any modern webpage today, it is only valuable if you keep it alive and with growing content, so that was a very important aspect when building this thing: it should be really easy to update. I can just write in markdown and push it to the main branch and the content is published.
All in all it took around 2 weeks to build, which all things considered seems like a reasonable amount of work.

Congrats on building the landing page!
After looking over it for a bit, I don't understand what your product does, but maybe that's because I might not be in your target audience. The logo has a film roll in it (so I assumed it was something to do with movies), but the hero text is "Your Digital Signage
Partner". I have no idea what Digital Signage is, but it makes me think about digital signing documents, yet I don't understand how that relates to the movie industry.Later on the page it says "Digital Signage for the Real Estate sector", so now it has something to do with Real Estate?
Overall, after looking over the entire page I have no idea what the product is/does.

Thanks for the comment. Yes, "Digital Signage" is a well-established term in the industry, so people searching for it knows what it is. On the previous page we focused more on the product for "outsiders", but this strategy I do not think works so well for us. Castmill is a product my partner and I have been working on as a side project for many years.
As most indiehackers, we have been extremely bad at marketing, which is reflected in the poor MRR. However, we strongly believe in the product and technology behind it so we are decided to double
down on the product and put most of the focus on marketing.
Castmill is a Digital Signage as a service. For those of you that do not know, Digital Signage is the industry around all these displays that are outdoors, in shopping centers, boutiques, restaurants, etc, that show different types of information and advertisements.
Our take on this business has been a very good price (probably too cheap) and easy to use. However, what has been shown to work in practice is the partnerships. Digital Signage is complex, the physical meets the digital world, so you cannot only provide a SaaS, you need arms and legs helping the customer with installations and on-site support.
Anyways, I thought that for this new phase of the journey and as part of the marketing strategy, I will be posting updates on all the stuff we do in order to gain more traction.
What we plan in order to improve the current situation is based on 3 pillars:
- Vastly improve our landing page with SEO as the top priority.
- A new package-based pricing model without free stuff.
- A focus on partnerships, as in, we provide you the solution, and you handle the end-users.
