I'd be careful treating this as a problem-validation question too quickly.
The interesting question may not be whether Controllers recognize the pain.
It may be what has to be true before that pain becomes urgent enough to change behavior.
Those sound similar, but they can lead to very different conclusions about the buyer, the validation signal, and what deserves confidence from the current conversations.
I wouldn't make that call casually from research calls alone.
