Cellfig
Scalable Airtable alternative
After three months of working on Cellfig, knowing that many users wanted a tool as simple as Airtable or Notion, but with the ability to handle massive amounts of data, I had the first iteration ready to launch. I thought I'd start by collecting feedback from the first users before launching the product, so I made a landing page and starting collecting emails of potential users and following up with them.
I started working on Cellfig with the goal of building a modern web-based spreadsheet tool. As I was working on the product, I ended up implementing something more similar to a visual Snowflake database. I don't the first product I built was something I was interested in, so I took some time away to figure out what exactly I wanted to build.
Starting in January, I decided to built a scalable Airtable alternative. This allowed me to skip much of the brainstorming of how the final app would look like or work, and I was able to focus on implementing the custom database for handling massive user data.

Visual databases come with limitations and deteriorating performance as your team and your data scale. I'm fixing that.
