CF Studio
AI platform that turns basic photos into professional ads
Quick update on CF Studio since my grocery store post got so much love here!
First, the wins: Notifications came in, people are actually signing up, and I’m getting those dopamine hits every founder dreams of.
But here’s the reality and a little twist. In my earlier post I shared how I built CF while working at my family’s grocery store but I never shared the details of 6 months building this thing in complete isolation. Every single decision - from UI colors to pricing strategy to which AI models to use - landed squarely on my shoulders. No co-founder to bounce ideas off, no team to validate choices with. Just me, my bedroom, and an endless stream of “is this actually good or am I delusional?”
Now it’s live and I’m constantly refreshing my inbox hoping someone will tell me exactly what sucks, what’s confusing, or what made them go “holy shit, this is amazing.” Because honestly? I have no idea if the onboarding flow makes sense to anyone but me. I don’t know if my pricing is right. I don’t know if people even understand what the platform does within the first 10 seconds.
Then it happened. I finally got user feedback - right here on my first IndieHackers post. Someone wrote (and yes, in ALL CAPS):
“PRICE IS TOO HIGH… IT DOESN’T GENERATE AS PROFESSIONAL AS IT SHOULD… YOUR PRODUCT NEEDS CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENTS… THERE’S ALREADY SUCCESSFUL PLATFORMS WHICH GENERATES WAY MORE PROFESSIONAL ADS… IF YOU WANT TO BE IN THE GAME, YOU MUST DECREASE YOUR PRICES…”
I literally JUMPED out of bed. Real feedback!!! I didn’t care that much that it was negative - feedback is feedback, and it’s all valuable for improving the platform. I got this adrenaline rush thinking “okay, finally someone is telling me exactly what needs fixing.”
But honestly? As I kept re-reading that comment, it also scared the hell out of me. Being totally new to all of this and hearing words like “IF YOU WANT TO STAY IN THE COMPETITION YOU HAVE TO LOWER YOUR PRICES!!” felt like someone was telling me my work was not good enough at all, that maybe I didn’t understand my own market. That I was about to get crushed by competitors that I didn’t even know existed, though I have always felt like I’ve been pretty aware of all of them and what makes our platforms different from one another.
I spent the ENTIRE morning restructuring my pricing. And if you’re a developer, you know this pain - it’s not just changing numbers. It’s Stripe products, signup endpoints, dashboard logic, user meters, billing cycles. Everything.
I was ready to completely overhaul my pricing strategy based on this one comment. Because it was my FIRST real user feedback! My plan was to fix everything, then go back to this user and say “hey, I changed the pricing based on your feedback - any other thoughts?”
Then I took a break. Opened Supabase. Checked the user table.
This person never even signed up.
They gave me detailed feedback about a product they’d never used. I spent 10 hours restructuring my business based on someone who couldn’t be bothered to create an account.
Though… I’m actually grateful. Because going through that exercise forced me to really think about my pricing strategy. I had to justify every number, every tier, every feature. I’m more confident about my pricing now than I ever was before.
The solo founder lesson: Sometimes the pressure to act on feedback - even from non-users - forces you to solve problems you didn’t know you had. That panic-driven deep dive made me understand my own product better.
I’m still genuinely looking for real feedback from actual users. If anyone here wants to try CF Studio, I’d love to hear your honest thoughts - the good, bad, and ugly. And I am happy to do the same for anyone here who would want that.
I respond to every message and I’m genuinely excited to hear what fellow builders think.
For those who don’t know, CF is an AI-powered platform purpose-built for SMBs to produce agency-grade ads - images, videos, voiceovers, music, and more - faster, cheaper, and at scale.
Thank you to everyone who’s been supportive here! I have a few signups now and would love to keep sharing my journey with all of you. This community makes the solo founder life feel a lot less lonely.

Hi everyone, I am Maria, and I wanted to share my story. Six months ago, I was super bored with life, working at my family’s grocery store in Sweden, just stocking shelves. It was during that time I found myself getting completely swept away and passionate about AI.
The more I learned, the deeper I fell in love with what AI could actually do. And as I watched my parents - and countless other small business owners - battle the same enemy: marketing that was both essential and brutally expensive.
They craved professional ads, but agencies quoted $2,000+ for a 15-second video. It felt like watching them choose between paying rent and simply looking professional. At this time, I knew AI had evolved enough to be able to solve this problem, so I dove right in.
I taught myself how to code, and I genuinely (and surprisingly) loved it. Every error I fixed gave me this incredible dopamine hit that kept me going. My passion for AI now had a powerful purpose.
The first months were rough - countless late nights debugging, rebuilding features from scratch when they didn’t work, and wrestling with APIs that seemed determined to break. But each small breakthrough felt like magic, especially when I saw my first rough prototype actually transform a basic product photo into something that looked… professional.
As a solo founder, I’m not going to lie: building this platform, covering both front-end and back-end development, has been anything but easy. I’m still super anxious. Something I built for myself, quietly for months in my own bedroom, is now out there, getting judged by everyone to see. While it’s incredibly exciting, it’s also more than a little intimidating.
The result is CF Studio: An AI platform that transforms any product photo into agency-quality video ads in 30 seconds. Your humble bathroom counter skincare shot becomes a luxury spa commercial. Your kitchen table product becomes a high-end lifestyle ad.
Today, I just launched on Product Hunt! I’m posting here hoping you’ll consider voting for CF Studio, but honestly, what I’m most hungry for is feedback on the actual product experience and whether this truly solves the problem for other small business owners. Here is my product hunt link, https://www.producthunt.com/products/cf-studio?utm_source=other&utm_medium=social

Hi Maria. First off huge congratulations on your launch. I was very inspired by the story and decided to try out the platform to see how well you had done, it made me even more impressed. How you have everything in one platform from images to videos , keyframes , voice , ad copies , and merging it together, it’s not at all an easy task for someone solo and very very essential for the market.
My only recommendation is to show more clear where the assets go after users have generated , it took me a while to figure out and asked your chat live assistant for help before being able to figure it out. It doesn’t show or say anywhere where we find our assets after we have generated so that’s something to think about.
Secondly, I have been involved in new AI releases for a while so could understand most of it, but for someone knew I think it’s a little bit more complex so a more explanation on how to do the generators would be great. Maybe add a “prompting” section as well.
Overall, the quality is outstanding, just as in your website when we get to see before/after. CF delivers the high quality and professionalism good enough to skip the agencies just as promised which is the most important thing so very good job.
Just make those few tweaks and I am sure you will have a very huge success with CF.
It is worth recommending to every SMB out there.

THIS IS JUST A FEEDBACK/SUGGESTION...
PRICE IS TOO HIGH...
IT DOESN'T GENERATE AS PROFESSIONAL AS IT SHOULD...
YOUR PRODUCT NEEDS CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENTS...
THERE'S ALREADY SUCCESSFULL PLATEFORM WHICH GENERATES WAY MORE PROFESSIONAL ADS COMPARING TO YOUR CONTENFACTORYDOTAI...
IF YOU WANT TO BE IN THE GAME, YOU MUST DECREASE YOUR PRICES TO BEAT THE COMPETITORS...
I'VE PERSONALLY TESTED YOUR PRODUCT AND AS A INDIVIDUAL I'M NOT SATISFIED WITH YOUR PRODUCT...
BUT..
I LOVE YOUR EFFORTS AND YOU BUILD THIS IDEA ON YOUR OWN,I RESPECT THAT...
WATCH OUT THE INPUT USER GIVE AND THE OUTPUT IT GIVES BACK... TAKE A LOOK HOW IT GENERATE AND IMPROVE IT MORE PROFESSIONALLY AS IT SHOULD..

Your journey from grocery shelves to building CF Studio is incredibly inspiring, especially how you found purpose through solving a real, painful problem for small businesses. As someone working solo on GudSho (a video marketing platform for marketers), we could deeply relate to those late nights and that surreal feeling of launching something built quietly behind the scenes.
Just gave you an upvote on Product Hunt and cheering for your launch all the way.
Cheers!-

Your comment really means a lot - especially coming from someone who understands the solo founder journey. Those late nights and "surreal feeling" moments are so real!
I checked out GudSho and love what you're building for marketers. It's amazing how we're both tackling different parts of the video marketing space.
Would love to connect and hear more about your journey too. Always great to meet fellow builders who get it!
Cheers back!

About
I built CF Studio because I believe every business deserves professional marketing, not just those with unlimited budgets. AI can do this better, faster, and cheaper than agencies.
