December 2019: 17,000+ Word Guide Published

I have been interviewing Technology Conference Speakers (my target market) for about a year now, so I took those 30 interviews and combined them with my own observations on public speaking to compile a 17,000+ word guide for new tech conference speakers.

This was a huge undertaking, but I think it'll go a long way toward improving SEO, inbound links, and getting new free subscribers.

December's KPIs:

  • 3091 Twitter Followers 🐦
  • 1683 Free Email Subscribers 💌
  • $247.50 in CFP Land Pro Revenue 💳

What's next?

I have two primary goals for CFP Land in 2020: increase subscriber revenue, and find a new revenue channel.

Unfortunately, there aren't a ton of tech conference speakers in the world, so the upper bound on my revenue from that channel is pretty low. I'm hoping to reach $1,000/mo this year.

On the other hand, there are a lot of interesting pivots I could make. Speaker team management and sponsorship opportunities are two that I'm exploring now.

While revenue has been pretty flat the past few months, I'm really excited about the project for this year. If this guide produces results, I'll likely be publishing more long-form content in the coming year as well.
