A few years ago, we started S&H Lighting with a simple goal: help brands and designers turn their chandelier ideas into reality, without the usual headaches of overseas manufacturing.

We're based in Guzhen, Guangdong, often called China's "lighting capital" because of how concentrated the lighting industry is here. Being in this ecosystem gives us access to skilled craftsmen, reliable material suppliers, and decades of manufacturing know-how, all within a few kilometers.

What we do:

We work as an OEM & ODM chandelier manufacturer, meaning we can either produce chandeliers based on a client's exact design and specs (OEM), or help develop a design from scratch based on their brief (ODM). Our clients range from interior designers and boutique lighting brands to larger distributors who need consistent quality at scale.

The biggest challenges we've faced:

1. Communication gaps: Many overseas clients aren't familiar with manufacturing terms, so we had to build a process that translates technical requirements clearly, without relying on the client already knowing the industry jargon.

2. Quality consistency: Chandeliers involve a lot of handwork (crystal cutting, metal finishing, wiring), so keeping quality consistent across large orders took real investment in training and QC checkpoints.

3. Trust as a manufacturer in China- earning trust from first-time clients who've never met us in person is an ongoing effort. Transparency, sample shipping, and clear documentation have helped a lot.

What's next:

We're currently focused on building stronger relationships with global lighting brands and expanding our custom design capabilities, so clients can come to us with just an idea or inspiration image and we handle the rest from design to delivery.
