Envato gives you a purchase code. That's it. Here's what I built to fix that.
When someone buys your CodeCanyon plugin, Envato sends them a UUID. No name. No email. No account in your system. You can have 10,000 sales and a customer list of zero.
That's not a fee problem. It's a customer ownership problem — and the July exclusivity removal doesn't fix it on its own.
So I built Envato Integration for ChargePanda.
When a buyer pastes their purchase code on your site (or signs in with Envato OAuth), the module verifies it against the official Envato API in real time, mints a completed order, issues a license key, and creates an account in your store — tied to their email, with expiry and activation limits you control.
Three claim flows:
Manual code entry (works for everyone)
Sign in with Envato (OAuth button on your login page)
Auto-claim on OAuth login — sweeps their entire Envato purchase history the moment they sign in. One click, every license they own lands in their account.
The thing I kept coming back to while building this: 1,000 Envato sales = 1,000 anonymous transactions. 1,000 claims through your own store = 1,000 verified emails on a list you own forever. Every new product launch, update, or upsell campaign reaches people who already paid you.
That email list is the asset Envato can never take away — no matter what they change next.

Launched ChargePanda on CodeCanyon 2 years ago as a simple PHP script. Most people said "just another Gumroad clone."
