ChatJS
Video chat with your website visitors
ChatJS is now live! It lets you video chat with your visitors directly on your website. You choose which visitors to invite to video chat, an invitation pops up on their end, and they can choose to video chat or audio chat with you.
We are working on improving the invitation-acceptance rate. You can now send a customized video invitation to chat, as opposed to a plain text invitation. You can set alerts, i.e. you get notified when a visitor viewed 10 pages in past 5 minutes, so you can invite them.
I'd love to hear your feedback. Here's a 1 month free trial coupon for fellow indie hackers. Check it out at: https://chatjs.io?coupon=indie

It's not really clear how it works. If I put it on my site, how do people initiate chats?
Hi alchemist, thanks for the feedback!
The website agent initiates the chat on the dashboard. The dashboard has a list of current website visitors. The website agent would click on the "invite" button next to the website visitor to invite.
The agent? You mean the owner/operator? Like if I put it on my site, I'd be the one doing 100% of the inviting?
Interesting... this is directly in the sweet spot of what Phoenix excels at, so I probably wouldn't be an ideal customer since this kind of thing is trivial for me to build. I really like the alerts based on highly engaged users, though.
If it's possible for your customers to pass their user IDs to your app, it could lead to a pretty powerful segmentation / sales system.
Yup, makes sense! I just watched a few of your Youtube videos, I like how you cover the full stack and devops. Very important!
