As we know, the coronavirus is going to change the restaurant industry worldwide. The post-COVID era will be marked by a reduction of interaction and human contact –the so-called low-touch economy– with a huge impact in the usual processes and services that we were used to.

In this new era, the use of technology will play a significant role, as it is already happening in countries that are re-opening their economies. This is where Check-Eat can make a great difference.

Wit the "dine-in" module of Check-Eat, the users can see a digital menu, order and pay directly from their tables, without the need to handle physical menus and cash. As add-on, it features reservations, tax invoicing (important in Mexico) and digital loyalty programs. Our solution puts together in a single app all the functionalities expected in the low-touch scenario of reduced interaction for the restaurant industry.

This scenario represents a great opportunity, as we can offer a digital solution that could become a standard for the hundreds of thousands of restaurants in the region, with an even higher impact that the food-delivery apps (with the 6% of the market share in Mexico in 2020).

After a year of development, we launched the commercial version of Check-Eat +40 restaurants at Puebla. We want to streamline the food ordering process at your favourite restaurant! By the end of 2019 we had more than +2k downloads (iOS & Android) with +500 overall transactions.
