We're now tracking booking from the website to be a real measure of value driven. The number has been slowly inching up and some UX improvements made an impact. I think it's time to start thinking about how to make money, because the demand is there. Time to research.

December 28, 2019 Crossed 1,000 users

I had a goal of hitting 1,000 users before the end of the year and we did it. People are really seeming to like the site and a lot of SEO work I was focusing on is taking hold. We're ranking really well for a bunch of long tail terms and the trend is accelerating.

September 1, 2019 Website launched

We launched CheckrideHQ! The site was built using Webflow and allows pilots to easily search and find Designated Pilot Examinors for their check rides.

The product, as it stands, is already a big improvement from the existing discovery experience on the FAA website. Next up is UX improvements and SEO focus.

There is a global pilot shortage which has a lot of downstream effects. We think that one cause for the shortage is friction in the certification process. We want to modernize the process.
