Chotu - Your Personal AI Buddy
Your AI Companion for Money, Productivity & Life
🚀 Today, I'm excited to introduce Chotu – Your Personal AI Buddy.
Over the years, I realized I was juggling too many apps—one for expenses, another for tasks, another for reminders, another for habits, and then separate AI tools to help me think and plan.
I kept asking myself:
Why isn't there one AI companion that brings all of this together?
That's why I started building Chotu.
Chotu is an AI-powered personal companion designed to help you stay organised, productive, and financially aware—all in one place.
✨ Current features include:
• 💰 Expense & income tracking
• 📊 Budgets and financial insights
• 🤖 AI-powered spending analysis
• 📝 Tasks and reminders
• 🔄 Recurring transactions
• 📈 A clean dashboard to understand your finances
This is just the beginning.
My vision is to build an AI companion that helps manage not only your finances, but also your tasks, routines, habits, reminders, documents, and everyday planning—without constantly switching between different apps.
I'd genuinely love your feedback. Every suggestion helps shape the future of Chotu.

About
Like many people, I found myself using too many apps every day—one for expenses, another for tasks, another for reminders, another for habits, and then AI tools for planning or asking questions. Everything was scattered,

The hardest part of an “everything companion” is usually not building more capabilities — it’s creating the first daily habit that makes users come back.
The strongest entry point may be the one workflow where people feel the most pain today, then expanding from there.
Thank you! That's a great point, and I completely agree that building a daily habit is the biggest challenge.
My vision for Chotu is a bit different from being just another finance or productivity app. I'm building it as a personal AI assistant—like having your own personal assistant or a friend who lives inside WhatsApp, so there's no need to install or constantly switch between multiple apps.
Finance is the starting point because it's a common daily pain point, but the long-term goal is for Chotu to help manage your personal finances, productivity, reminders, memory, documents, and everyday planning—all through natural conversations in WhatsApp.
I'd love to hear your thoughts: if you were using an AI assistant like this, what would make you come back and chat with it every day?
That's a good question. I do have a view on what would make something like Chotu become a genuine daily habit rather than another assistant people occasionally open.
I'd rather not reduce it to a generic answer here, though. I'd be interested in continuing the conversation by email if you're open to it. What's the best email to reach you on?
