Chronopad
Collect, organize and display information chronologically
One of our first attempts to spread the news about Chronopad. Turns out it becomes one of the use case for Chronopad!
When we start creating and updating the product page in Indie Hackers, we are required to share the milestones in the product page.
Fortunately, recording a chronological milestones is one of the things the we can do with Chronopad and we have been recording our own progress in developing Chronopad using our own app.
So, completing the milestone page is very easy.
Today we officially launch our first blog post on Medium.
Our blog post is more on the user manual for Chronopad in the form and style of a blog post. We choose not to maintain our own blogging platform since we we want to focus our effort on building the core product.
Although in the future when the team grows, we might host all our contents in our own website.

Today, Chronopad app is officially available for public!
Interested users can make payment using Paypal and subscribe to the app. As expected, there is zero subscriber to the app today. Mostly because we are not focus on marketing effort yet.
Being a bootstrapped startup with limited manpower and resources, we decided to focus our time and resources to the product for the time being and then gradually shift the focus to Marketing.
Not an ideal process, but this is what we can afford for now.

Today marks an important milestone in Chronopad development. We finally compile the very first MVP for Chronopad. It has all the first functions that are planned to be shipped in the first version.
Functionally, the app performs well, but the UI is still very basic and not visually easy in the eye. UI design is our next target before the public launch.

And found a good one!
I am always the type of person who loves to organize (a.k.a declutter) my thoughts and record my ideas in a note app.
For the past few years, I have been experimenting and using different kinds of note taking apps. And for now I'm settled with Notion.
I am using Notion for my personal projects and work projects. And then one day I moved to the business intelligence team in my work.
Since I love working with data, it's an exciting role for me. Until I need to do some analysis for my data and come up with a story out of it. It's quite a difficult task for me that time.
Being a Business Intelligence Analyst, I only have limited view to the field and business process. So, the data that I have at hand is just numbers, and although the data does provides some stories, it is shallow and incomplete.
So I have to collect information and knowledge of what happen throughout the year and put it in my research notes.
Notion (and any other note taking apps) is superb for this kind note taking process. However, another challenge was encountered when I need to do some timeline or chronological analysis based on the event occurrences that I collected in my notes.
This is where the ideas for Chronopad was born.
One important feature from Chronopad is that each note in Chronopad is tagged into 2 dates, the note creation date and the event date described in that note.
This will ease the users if they want to perform some timeline analysis using their notes.

This app is created to solve my own problems when I need to do some chronological or timeline analysis based on notes that I have been collected and created beforehand.
