ChurnTarget
Fix your SaaS churn before it happens
Yesterday, I had a call with the CEO of a SaaS, and he wants to try ChurnTarget. Finally my first early user!
I contacted dozens of people and I still want 2 or 3 SaaS to join this early user program.
Because of GDPR, they will manually give me the data they have so I can analyze it, instead of using their Intercom account.
This felt like such an achievement even though it's nearly nothing and I still have a lot of work to do.
Can't wait to work with them!
I decided several weeks ago to create an app for Intercom with my product, hoping it will help to get more traction, considering it will be waaay easier to set up and use ChurnTarget now with Intercom!
https://www.intercom.com/app-store/?app_package_code=churntarget&search=churntarget
Now, one of the hardest part: finding my first users. I will try to contact and talk with as many SaaS founders using Intercom as possible!

I just put ChurnTarget in the upcoming section of ProductHunt.

I really hope it will get more visibility and maybe attract some users that will be involved in the development of this!
The problem I have is that I have 2 sign-ups on my web app but I didn't manage to "get in contact" with those people. I will try to contact them again and hope they will answer so I can initiate the conversation.
I spent a lot of time yesterday to get more visibility by posting on different websites. I still have a lot of work to do!
I think I will now begin to write a blog to gain more views.

One week after I finished my website, I just had my 2 first sign-ups! I focused my whole Monday on promoting and talking about my product in different places (website and forums) so I guess it worked.
However, it doesn't mean that these 2 people will use my product. I have to talk to them and see if they match my criteria (in fact, you can use my product only if you have a certain amount of customers and if you collect data about them).
Plus, my product isn't fully finished so I sent them emails to see if they are interested in becoming early users (I offer them lifetime discounts if they accept).
So now, I just hope they will use my product! Wish me luck :)

@Goldriver This looks cool and clear. Perhaps some specific number examples for "This number can vary from one business to another so feel free to contact us to know more about our criteria!" would make it clearer.

That would be a good idea but I don't want to put a certain number and discourage people from contacting me.
I guess I can put the strict minimum of customers they should have, which is around 50!-

You can do this subtly, without mentioning it on the website. If you can think of some lead magnet that can be created without significant efforts and something that specifically creates value for SaaS businesses with 50 - 100 customers, you can run a campaign to get sign-ups with the lead magnet. eg. "The Definitive Guide for SaaS founders to grow from 50+ customers to 1000+ customers in XXX days."

This is actually a brilliant idea. I will work on something like this as I'm having some trouble getting leads for my product!
Thanks!-

Cool. And it need not be just the idea of an eBook. Because creating content for an ebook does take some effort. But there could be some easy to launch yet effective lead magnet idea that you can think about. For example, we created a quiz as a lead magnet for this project - https://beta-outdoor.com/find-your-beta-tester-score and we got 60 + sign ups in 10 days with most of the profiles matching with the kind of people we were looking for.

ChurnTarget: Fix your customer's churn before it happens.
I had this idea one week ago and I'm really happy with all the work done since then. The website is now live, and all I have to do now is decide and implement the integration that customers will have to do.
I was thinking about an integration with several CRM but I'm still not sure, that's why I'm looking for early users that might be interested in this kind of product, to know what would be the integration they prefer!
I already joined several groups of SaaS founders (Facebook and LinkedIn) so I'll start looking into that.
By the way, if any of you indiehackers is interested, just contact me (use the chat on the website): it'll be free for you until the official launch, and then you'll have a 50% lifetime discount on all the plans.

About
When a customer leaves your SaaS (or other business), it might be too late to convince him to stay. What if you knew which customers were about to leave before they actually do? That's what we're working on!

Congrats

Good going, congrats!
Thanks :)
Love the name -- Churn Target. 👍👍
Did you do interviews before creating the product? If so, what about approaching those same folks to be beta testers?
And if you didn't speak to people before, then who are your ideal customers? And where would they be located so you can find them?
Thanks :)
I did some interviews and I'm still doing some. Actually, this user will be a 'sort of' beta tester. Let me explain: I'm scoring the customers of SaaS so they can know of their users might soon churn. The thing is, I'm using the data from Intercom, but I didn't have access to a lot of data when I developped the product, so right now, my scoring is not really good.
That's why I'm looking for 'early user': so I can improve my model, validate my idea and fix the remaining bugs. After that, I'll be ready for an official launch :)
My ideal customers would be SaaS owners or Head of Growth that have a business based on subscription. I just contacted people that were using Intercom for their SaaS, posted on a Facebook group and also contacted IndieHackers to get some feedback, and that's how I got this first user.
Hope it answers your questions.
Great stuff. Keep going. The more feedback (research) you can do at this phase will be a huge benefit to you going forward.
Great. Congratulations!
Thanks :)
