It took 6 months, but I'm finally done building the minimum viable product for classiFIT. I worked mostly nights and weekends, and I coded the whole thing in Angular client-side and Firebase as a backend integrated with Stripe Connect for payment service. In hindsight, there were a few features I built that probably could've waited until later. But I'm excited to start talking to customers and see what they think about the product so far!

This very day Singapore hits with the unexpected. A circuit breaker (lockdown) due to the pandemic COVID-19 outbreak. Most businesses were greatly affected. One of the most important businesses that keep everyone sane was the fitness industry.

During the circuit breakers, everyone is at their respective homes as most fitness industries are mainly outdoors or private venues. Fitness industries were to adapt by going remote. A platform like Zoom Google-meet is becoming a standard tool for instructors to continue engaging with their clients.

Most of them are not tech Savvy. To set up online is not easy and takes time, which costs money. However, no code tool like Shopify, Wix, square space is available. Most instructors want to focus on setting up classes and get paid. The idea comes to create a platform that allows Fitness Instructors, Sports coaches, Personal trainers, or Wellness Gurus to create classes easily and manage transactions securely. The exact time, allowing fitness & wellness enthusiasts to look for instructors or classes that fit their lifestyle.
