August 17, 2020 100'000 Views Milestone

Back in March 2020, I reached the 50'000 views milestone for my YouTube channel. Only five months later, I am happy to share the news that the channel reached the 100'000 views milestone.

On the one hand, it is hard to believe that I doubled the views within five months compared to the first 50'000 views that took me about 15 months to reach.

On the other hand, it confirms my experience that once the ball is rolling, nothing is holding you back on YouTube. The start is extremely challenging, but once the car is moving, everything becomes a little easier.

While I am more than delighted with reaching this milestone, I want to go back to video production mode and offer more quality content to my viewers.

July 14, 2020 Channel monetization reached

It took a lot of effort, but I am finally able to announce that my .NET developer YouTube channel reached 4000 hours of watch time within the last 365 days.

Meeting the requirements for joining the YouTube Partner Program is a massive milestone in any YouTuber's journey.

July 14th, 2020 marks the day where I am able to start showing ads in front, after and during my videos. Don't worry, I don't want to spam my viewers. For now, only pre-roll and post-roll ads are enabled on my videos.

According to my calculations, I'll start making a few bucks here and there, but I will not quit my day job anytime soon because of it.

I expect to make between 0.50$ and 1$ per day.

Make sure to follow the journey to see if my expectations turn out to be true. I'll definitely share my revenue stats once there is enough data.

March 28, 2020 1000 Subscribers Milestone

It's been a long time since uploading the first video to reaching 1000 subscribers on the YouTube channel, but eventually, we made it.

I got a lot of support from my Twitter community when approaching the 1000 subscribers mark. I feel grateful for the Twitter community, who helped me reach this milestone.

With 1000 subscribers, I completed one of two requirements to be able to monetize my YouTube channel with ads.

The second requirement is reaching 4000 hours watch time within the last 365 days. I'm about 65% of this requirement. It will be my next big goal to reach monetization for my channel.

I wrote a detailed article on my blog about how I reached my first 1000 subscribers on YouTube.

March 8, 2020 50'000 Views Milestone

Video views are what matter. Not only to me, but also to future partnerships, monetization using ads, and much more. If people watch and engage with my content, it means that they get value out of my creations.

I'm thrilled to realize that today, I reached 50'000 views on my YouTube channel.

It's crazy to believe that a full football stadium has watched at least some part of my videos.

It's a motivation boost to keep creating and prove value for my audience so that in the future, I'll be able to add the 100'000 views milestone to this journey.

November 22, 2019 500 Subscribers Milestone

It's been only a few weeks since I got back from my 5-week trip to the southwest of the United States of America, and I'm hitting the next milestone.

It is a special milestone to hit because it marks the 50% mark of subscribers needed to monetize the channel.

It took me a little more than 11 months to reach those 500 subscribers, since I uploaded my first video on December 14th, 2018.
