ClearDoc
AI to Extract Structured Data from Documents
Hi Indie Hackers!
I’ve just launched ClearDoc, an AI-powered tool that extracts structured data from unstructured documents like invoices, bills of lading, certificates, and more! It uses OCR (PaddleOCR) and LLMs to detect and align key fields, even in complex documents with tables and nested fields.
Here are some key features:
- No templates required – works out of the box.
- Supports various document types: PDFs, Images, Scans,Excels.
- Fully self-hosted demo – I run the demo on my own Nvida4090-GPU and you can.
- Auto-aligns fields visually on documents, making it easy to extract data.
### What’s Next:
I’m currently working on:
- Custom field design/editing.
- Improving the accuracy of complex table data extraction.
### Feedback Wanted:
- Which document types would you like to see supported in future versions?
- Any suggestions on how I could improve the accuracy of document parsing, especially for complex tables?
- What features would make this tool indispensable for your workflow?

I’d love to hear your feedback and thoughts!
Thanks! 🙏

This is a fantastic launch, congrats! You're tackling a problem that almost every business feels but few solve well. The potential here is massive, especially with the privacy-focused 'self-hosted' angle.
As a marketer and content writer, my mind is already racing with ways to position this. The key is moving the story from being a 'cool tech tool' to an 'indispensable business solution' for specific audiences like accountants or developers.
I have some specific ideas on that front that I'd be happy to share. My email is [era955095@gmail.com] if you want to discuss the ideas.
Wishing you the best with this👍!
