Zero Users

I usually only see positive milestones, but this is not one of those.

After posting my latest project to several places I was able to get a grand total of 0 users. There are a lot of reasons why that might be the case. Maybe I didn't find the right audience. Maybe I didn't do a good enough job explaining why it was useful. Maybe nobody else is really interested in it. Maybe people just aren't looking for this type of thing right now.

This project wasn't a waste of my time. I initially built it for my own freelance business. It is still disappointing when you get excited about something and then reality doesn't match the vision.

    Hi @smithgeek,
I looked at your website and I'm probably not your target audience. But maybe your target audience do not understand that it's for them.
Instead of talking about features you should talk about use cases. Is this intended for designers? For agencies? You should mention that. Features are irrelevant - talk about the value that I will get, and try to be very specific. Don't just say "documents".
For instance, talk about how a freelance designer is sending in email pdf.final.final.v7, and then sends final.final.final.v8. And how with that portal the customer will always have access to his latest version and he'll be able to share it with his coleagues.
Talk about how he's trying to send that 26mb file which os just over the limit of gmail and he has to reduce quality or zip or use dropbox.
Make people understand the pain that you are solving.

Another thing - it might be too early for pricing. Try give away the product for free during beta so you can get some feedback. Or at least have a free tier which is generous enough so that some people can start work with it and provide valuable feedback.
If you have coleagues that you can give away some accounts, or in designers communities, etc.

If this has solved a problem for you, it is likely that it does for others too. You just have to be more sharp on the messaging.

    Good luck

I checked your site, I think its great, the only thing I would change is your main tagline, need to be shorter and sweeter. I too struggle with this. Should say for freelancers somewhere.
